When I moved here to the land of milk and honey, I’ve learned that drinking wine is a common activity here. It also happens to be a necessity and not a luxury. Unlike in my home country, wine is only served during special occasions and events. But here, every fridge in the country has a bottle or two of wines. Some homes have even wine cellars to keep their wine collection. I have never been a wine drinker and living here taught me to appreciate different wines, brandy, and other alcoholic drinks. I don’t drink either but when times call for it, like when invited on special events, I would take a sip or two.
One of these days, I’d like to bring myself and my kids to a wine warehouse or perhaps a winery to witness and see how wines are produced. That way, I would have the idea of what’s inside the liquid I am taking in. I heard from my sister’s husband who is a wine aficionado that the older the wine the better it taste. He buys wine in cases to save and aside from that he like collecting the wine cases. He usually buy wines at Costco and sometimes online.
